Dean (Academic & Students Affairs)
(Dr.) Swadesh Kumar Puri, VSM (Retd.) is an expert in Health Administration.
He did his M.D. (Community Health Administration) from Delhi and M.Sc. (Defence
Studies) from National Defence College, New Delhi. He has long experience of working
in hospitals and teaching institutions of the Army and was awarded Vishisht Sewa
Medal by the President of India for distinguished services rendered as
Director of
Medical College Hospital, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. His areas of interest are hospital
waste management, equipment management, quality assurance in hospitals and teaching
hospital management.

P. R. Sodani
|
Dean (Training)
Prof. P.R. Sodani is a health economist and public health specialist. He obtained his PhD in Economics with focus on Health Economics. After completing his doctoral
work, he earned Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill, USA. Prof. Sodani has been working in health systems, health economics
and health financing and extensively involved in teaching, training, research and
consultancy. He has been Visiting Professor of health economics at BP Koirala Institute
for Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal. Prof. Sodani is Associate Editor of the Journal
of Health Management, an international journal published by SAGE Publications. He
has been the Guest Editor for the special issue on Health Care Financing of the
Journal of Health Management published in 2008. Prof. Sodani has been actively associated with South-East Asia Public
Health Education Institutions Network (SEAPHEIN) and coordinated the International Workshop
on Moving SEAPHEIN to Influence Public Health Policy and Action. He is Secretary, India Public Health Education Institutions Network
(IndiaPHEIN). He has recently published a book on Managing Quality in Health Care.
He
has published and presented papers on health sector reforms, health expenditure,
public-private partnership, user charges, cost analysis, health insurance and health
systems development in national and international forums.

Gautam Sadhu
|
Associate Dean (Rural Management)
Mr. Goutam Sadhu, PGDRD, MBA, DHSM (Israel) is specialized in Water, Sanitation,
Health, Community management and NGO management. He was trained in designing and
training methodology in International Resource Center, Netherlands and Health System
Management from Galileo College, Israel. He has more then two decade of long experience
in successfully implementing the community based project, designing and conducting
training programme for senior and middle level civil servant and NGOs. He has contributed
towards policy design, planning (micro planning), program implementation. He is
also been associated with CAPART as a Monitor, and has been consultant in different
projects funded by national and international agencies. He has been honored with
several prestigious awards. Mr. Sadhu has presented several papers on water and
health in international and national conferences. His current research and teaching
interests are in the application of community based model in the area of water,
sanitation and in public health.

Dr. Anoop Khanna
|
Associate Dean (Research)
Dr. Anoop Khanna has a background in social work. He has presented and published
several research papers. He has contributed to several operations research projects
on training interventions for health functionaries, population programme management
and adolescent health. His areas of interest are population programme management,
programme evaluation, HIV/AIDS, and reproductive health. |

Nirmal Kumar Gurbani
|
Associate Dean (PG Pharma)
Holds PhD, LLB and PGDHRM, Fellow of IPA, has been associated with teaching
and managing a pharmaceutical institution for over 3 decades. He has undergone specialized
training on WHO fellowship at Management Sciences for Health (MSH), Washington DC,
on Rational Pharmaceutical Management and is a resource person with various international
and national courses on rational use of medicines including prudent use of antimicrobials,
infection control for doctors, nurses & pharmacists, Phamaco-economics, Promoting
RUM in Communities, ARV & Related Supply, DTCs and Monitoring Medicines Prices
in various states of India under WHO, WB, EC, SEARPharm Forum, Danida, Cordaid,
IPA, NACO and DPT supported programmes. He has also worked as Technical Coordinator
WHO India Essential Drug Programme (2004-05), Member Secretary of Rajasthan State
EML Committee and Rajasthan State STGs Committee. He has co-authored ten books with
distinguished professionals, contributed specific chapters in professional books
of other authors and important government/ professional documents/manuals. |
