R.S. Goyal
|
Dr. Radheyshyam Goyal is a social scientist and demographer. He obtained a Diploma
in Population Studies (IIPS, Mumbai), and Ph.D. in Sociology (Punjab University).
Prior to joining the Institute, he was Deputy Director, Population Research Centre,
Punjab University. He is associated with several international and national organizations
in various capacities. Dr. Goyal’s interests are demography, primary health care,
HIV/AIDS, and community involvement in health care. He has several research publications
to his credit. |

Barun Kanjilal
|
Dr. Barun Kanjilal is health economist. After postgraduation, he obtained a PhD
in Economics from Louisiana State University, U.S.A. where he worked as a post-doctoral
researcher. He has worked as Reader in Economics at Calcutta University. He has
been appointed as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health
Policy and Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA.
Dr. Kanjilal has published/presented several papers on applied economics in international
journals / conferences. His current research and teaching interests are in the application
of various quantitative tools in the area of health economics and financing.

Suresh Joshi
|
Holds a Masters Degree in Preventive and Social Medicine for University of Rajasthan.
After teaching for over about ten years at SMS
Medical College and IIHMR, Jaipur,
moved to UNICEF India Country Office. For almost two decades has contributed towards
Policy design, planning (micro planning), program implementation including supply
and financial management, monitoring and evaluation of large scale child survival
and maternal health care program in the State of Uttar Pardesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
As a training graduate, has designed training programs for health managers and frontline
supervisor and workers using adult learning principals. |

Dhirendra Kumar
|
Dr. Dhirendra Kumar is a population scientist. He is a Ph.D. in Population Studies
and M.Phil from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai.
Prior to joining the institute, he worked as Economist in National Council for Applied
Economic Research, New Delhi. He was also on the faculty of Indira Gandhi Medical
College, Shimla. His areas of interest are population and development, program evaluation
and health survey research.

Dr. Vivek Bhandari
|
Dr. Vivek Bhandari is the former Director of the Institute of Rural Management,
Anand (IRMA). He is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and the University
of Pennsylvania, USA. After earning his doctorate in history from UPenn in 1998,
he became a faculty member at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, USA. In this capacity,
Dr. Bhandari also taught and researched collaboratively at academic institutions
in the Five College Consortium located in Massachusetts, USA. Dr. Bhandari's research
covers the fields of comparative history, international political economy, historical
sociology, cultural studies and peace studies, and his writings have appeared in
journals such as the Journal of Asian Studies, Comparative Studies of South Asia,
and Africa and the Middle East, in edited volumes, and reference works such as the
International Encyclopedia for the Social Sciences and the Encyclopedia of Modern
Asia. In 2008, Business Today magazine included him in its list of “India’s Top-25
Young Executives under the age of 40.” |
